Please consider becoming a Precinct Delegate.  Important work needs to be done this election year! Duties include attending your township's monthly meeting and reporting back to the Party Chair via email, text, or in person. This effort is our initiative to have a presence in our local communities and to better understand local issues. Precinct Delegates are needed in these townships: Aloha, Beaugrand, Ellis, Forest, Hebron, Inverness, Koehler, Mentor, Mullet, Munro, Tuscarora, Walker, Waverly, and Wilmot                        

Orchard Beach Bridge Support Drive

Support the Orchard Beach Bridge Replacement Project  The Orchard Beach bridge over the Black River is an essential transportation link for Cheboygan County. It provides a valuable connection for daily trips for work, shopping, medical, school, recreational activities, and commercial traffic. Perhaps, most importantly, it is a vital link enabling first responders to quickly provide emergency police, fire, and ambulance services. The next closest bridge is almost 5 miles upstream at N. Black River Road requiring over a 10 mile detour and 8 miles downstream at Lincoln Ave. requiring a 16 mile detour. The years have taken its toll on the bridge’s condition and currently is rated only a 2 out of a possible 10 and thus has weight restrictions due to its deteriorated condition. It needs to be replaced. Why we need you The Cheboygan County Road Commission is seeking federal funding to replace this bridge. As part of the application process, a showing of community interest and support is required.
