County Commissioner
Description: The County Board of Commissioners is the governing board and the policy-making body of County Government. One of the main duties of the Board of Commissioners is to set the budget of the county.
Term: 4 years
Salary: Yes, along with per diems and mileage
Meetings: Twice a month on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday at 9:30am

Township Board
Description: Mandated functions of the board are assessment administration, elections administration, and tax collection. Examples of other authorized services provided by a township are fire protection, law enforcement, parks and recreation programs, water and sewer services, trash collection and recycling, cemeteries.
Term: 4 years
Salary: Yes, amount determined by each township
Meetings: Monthly, with time determined by each township

Precinct Delegates
Description: A precinct delegate represents the Democratic Party in your neighborhood and you represent your neighborhood at Democratic Party meetings. Attending township meetings is important.
Term: 2 years
Salary: No
Meetings: Township and Democratic Party meetings are both monthly.
